6 Most Humiliating Women Health Concerns

Millions of women live with the supposedly humiliation of having to visit the loo more often than normal, extreme sweating, vaginal odour, intestinal gas, and other humiliating conditions. They would rather deal with these problems their own way – discretely, than talk about it. You just don’t walk up to your friend and say, ‘hey friend, I have this terrible smell down there’, or have you ever experienced this urgency to urinate and your initial quick steps to the ladies turn into running through a department store looking for the ladies toilet, while you’re already feeling the drip inside your panties.

It’s not surprising that the most humiliating conditions are those related to the toilet, that is conditions which are bathroom related, these include frequent urination, bladder issues, bowel issues, menstruation issues, and vaginal issues. Outside toilet matters are other embarrassing women health issues such as body odours, vaginal odours, and mouth odours.

The last thing you want to do is keep any of these problems to yourself. The health issues are nothing to be ashamed of since many times an effective treatment is obtainable.
Experts identified six most humiliating conditions affecting women and why it’s important to talk about it and get it treated.
1. Frequent urination.
Several women experience difficulty managing their bladder and ashamed to talk about it, because it’s assumed that as an adult controlling your bladder shouldn’t be an issue. Frequent urination can also be associated with ageing, and nobody wants to admit they’re getting on in years. The shocking news is that one in three women with frequent urination is under 35, according to research.
Undoubtedly leaking urine is not normal as an adult, but there’s hope as there are several various treatment choices for people suffering from frequent urination. So visit your doctor and be very frank about the leaky bladder problem. Helping yourself to solutions may just make frequent urination worse, while restricting your fluid intake can actually irritate your bladder, making the condition of overactive bladder poorer.
So even if frequent urination is not normal, it’s prevalent during perimenopausal years. Recommended solutions that may help include medications, selective dietary changes, and Kegel exercises to strengthen some of the muscles that control the flow of urine. Also to be checked is if frequent urination is a sign of an underlying illness, or a side-effect of a medication you are taking.

2. Gas.
Gassing is no big deal. Everybody has it, though some people are embarrassed by it and don’t want to admit it, particularly in public. If it becomes an issue for you, talk with your doctor since gas is very usually dietary-related and can also be treated with dietary changes and OTC medication. There are other things that can cause gas aside eating beans and cruciferous vegetables. For instance drinking through straws can introduce air in the gut, so is eating too fast.

3. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
IBS symptoms include abdominal pain or discomfort and a change in bowel patterns, which could be loose or more frequent bowel movements, diarrhea, and/or constipation. IBS affects millions of people.
It can be a little bit humiliating for people because of the perception of being different than everyone else. It’s extremely common in women, especially, but there’s sizable information that can help make life more tolerable.  The sad thing is that a lot of women suffer in silence thinking they’re alone not knowing a large population is affected in the same way.

4. Excessive sweating.
Many women are uncomfortable about excessive sweating, whether it’s their face, palms or armpits. A doctor can assess this condition and prescribe antiperspirants and, in extreme cases, Botox injections can also be a solution to sweaty palms, soles of the feet, and armpits. If there’s no difference in your excessive sweating, and becomes problematic by preventing you from doing certain activities or being a source of worry and anxiety, there are treatment options available.

5. Vaginal odor.
This is the most humiliating condition women are shy to talk about thinking perhaps their body hygiene is not up to scratch.  However, vaginal odour can be a sign of infection, not compulsorily a yeast infection. Several women abuse OTC yeast creams and capsules and may as a result be missing out on more effective treatments. They simply think they smell differently, which may impact their body image or their emotional state as regards sexual intercourse. So the spontaneous remedy is to begin to douche vigorously thinking the odour will disappear, but could actually be making the situation worse. Whichever way, it’s better to have a discussion with your doctor if you’re concerned.

6. Low sexual desire
The subject of low sexual desire may be humiliating to women to discuss, but it could actually be a sign of other things. Low sexual desire may be due to social, psychological, or biological causes; hence it needs a thorough assessment of all those areas to decide what the cause is. For example, a woman may be doing two jobs to help pay the bills so her time is taken up and she becomes physically and emotionally not in the mood for sex (social). Low sexual desire may be a result of depression, anxiety, or poor body image (psychological). Health issues like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or drugs can also diminish interest in sex (biological).
